The flowers of it were used to making color for the Holi festival. The blooming season of the tree is from mid-April and it looks very beautiful due to its orange flowers. After flowering, fruiting happens to appear from the summer month of May to July. Kino gum or gum kino is also obtained from this tree. The gum is prepared from red juice secreted by the bark.
